Luteiden torjunta kotikonstein on vaikeaa. Luteet kestävät -10 C pakkasta. Luteet kuolevat 60 C:n lämpötilassa, mutta väärin tehty ludesauna pahentaa tilannetta: jos luteet pääsevät pudottautumaan kuumilta lauteilta alas lattialle, ne eivät kuole, ja voivat levitä eteenpäin. Recycling rooms in many TYS locations have been closed to stop the spreading of bed bugs. Some bed bugs have been spotted in Pilvilinna, too, and that is why the recycling room in 7I is temporarily closed.
It is difficult to get rid of bed bugs on your own. The bugs can survive -10 C temperature. They will die if the temperature is over 60 C, but if you try to kill them in sauna, and do it wrong, it makes things worse: if the bed bugs can drop down on the cool floor, they will not die, and can spread forward. That is why it is not allowed to use the saunas of TYS to control bed bugs.
The sooner we stop the bed bugs, the less trouble they will cause, and the cheaper it will be. If you notice bed bugs in your apartment, make a notice of defects immediately. The professionals will take care of everything then. If you make the notice of defects right away, it will cost you nothing. If you postpone making the notice until there are bed bugs in the whole house, you may have to pay for it.
