Asukastoimikunta avaa jälleen Kuunsillan kerhotilan ovet Ravintolapäivänä 17.2.2013. Café Kuunsilta palvelee aamiaisen, lounaan ja brunssin merkeissä klo 11-14, ja iltakattaus on klo 17-20.
Kaikki Kuunsillan ja Pilvilinnan asukkaat ovat tervetulleita myymään itse valmistamiaan ruokia. Myyjät päättävät itse hintansa ja saavat pitää itse myyntivoittonsa. Myyntipaikasta ei peritä maksua, mutta kaikkien myyjien odotetaan osallistuvan loppusiivoukseen. Kerhotilassa on keittonurkkaus, mutta hellan ääreen saattaa tulla ruuhkaa.
Asukastoimikunta varaa itselleen yksinoikeuden myydä kahvia. Alkoholin myyminen on kielletty. Muuten myyjät saavat päättää vapaasti, mitä haluavat myydä. Myyntipaikan voi varata lähettämällä sähköpostia asukastoimikunnalle (tys.kuunsilta[a]gmail.com). Kerro, haluatko varata paikan aamuvuorosta, iltavuorosta vai molemmista, ja mitä ruokaa aiot valmistaa.
Asukastoimikunta ottaa Ravintolapäivän yhteydessä vastaan myös asukkaiden rekisteröitymisiä kuntosalin ja lainatavarakaapin käyttäjiksi. Tervetuloa myyjät, syöjät ja kuntoilijat!
The Tenants' Committee opens the doors of Kuunsilta Common Room on Restaurant Day (in Finnish), 17 February 2013. Café Kuunsilta will serve breakfast, lunch and brunch from 11am to 2pm, and evening meal will be served from 5pm to 8pm.
All tenants of Kuunsilta and Pilvilinna are welcome to sell home made food. Sellers set their own prices and keep whatever money they make. No money is charged from sellers, but all sellers must help in the cleaning after the event. There is a cooking oppourtunity in the Common Room, but it may get crowded.
Tenants' Committee will have a monopoly to sell coffee. Selling alcohol is not allowed. There are no other restrictions, so sellers can decide their own menus. You can reserve a seller's spot via email (tys.kuunsilta[a]gmail.com). Please tell us if you want to sell food in the morning, in the evening or both, and what type of food you will be selling.
You can also come to the Common Room just to sign up to join the gym and rental items service. Welcome to sell, eat or get access to the gym!

Asukastoimikunta pitää vuoden ensimmäisen kokouksen perjantaina 18.1.2013 kello 18:00 alkaen Kuunsillan kerhotilassa (S-rappu, päiväkodin yläkerta). Kaikki Pilvilinnan ja Kuunsillan asukkaat ovat tervetulleita seuraamaan kokousta!
Kaikilla halukkailla Pilvilinnan ja Kuunsillan asukkailla on myös mahdollisuus rekisteröityä kuntosalikaapin ja lainatavarapalvelun käyttäjiksi. Asukastoimikunta ottaa vastaan rekisteröitymisilmoituksia perjantaina 18.1.2013 kello 17:30-17:50 Kuunsillan kerhotilassa.
Voit tulostaa rekisteröitymissopimuksen tästä ja täyttää sen valmiiksi kotona. Asukastoimikunnan tulostamia sopimuksia riittää 50 ensimmäiselle. Hyvää uutta vuotta!
Jos olet uuden vuoden kunniaksi luvannut aloittaa säännöllisen kuntosalilla käymisen, niin aivan lähiaikoina lupauksen pitämisestä tulee helpompaa kuin koskaan ennen. Kaikilla asukkailla on pääsy joko Pilvilinnan 9L-rapun tai Kuunsillan S-rapun kerhotilaan. Kerhotilat toimivat sekä naapurien yhteisinä oleskelutiloina, että edullisina lähikuntosaleina.
Monitoimikuntoilulaitetta voivat käyttää kaikki asukkaat maksutta silloin, kun kerhotilan varauskalenteriin ei ole merkitty kenenkään varaamaa yksityistilaisuutta. Pilvilinnan varauskalenteri on kerhotilan ilmoitustaululla, ja Kuunsillan varauskalenteri on nettisivullamme. Pilvilinnan 9L-kerhotila on varattu naisten kuntoiluvuorolle sunnuntai-iltapäivisin ennen lenkkisaunaa.
Lukitussa kaapissa on lisää kuntoiluvälineitä, mm. käsipainoja ja jumppamattoja. Sisäkäyttöön tarkoitettuja kuntoiluvälineitä ei saa viedä pois kerhotilasta. Kaapin toisessa osassa on tavaroita, joita saa lainata myös pois kerhotilasta, mm. ulkoliikuntavälineitä ja konepesun kestävä juhla-astiasetti.
Asukastoimikunta perii 5 euron rekisteröitymismaksun niiltä asukkailta, jotka ilmoittavat yhteystietonsa ja saavat tietää kaapin avauskoodin. Rekisteröitymisen jälkeen välineiden käyttäminen on maksutonta. Ilmoitamme tällä nettisivulla, facebook-sivullamme ja kerhotilan ilmoitustaululla, milloin otamme vastaan rekisteröitymisilmoituksia. If your New Year's resolution is "I will go to gym more often", then we have good news for you! All tenants can use their home keys to get to a Common Room, either in Pilvilinna 9L or in Kuunsilta S upstairs. The Common Rooms function as your nearest gym, as well as a place to hang out with friends.
The multifunctional gym tools are available for every tenant whenever there is no reservation of a private event in the reservation calendar of the Common Room. In Pilvilinna the calendar is on the info board of the Common Room, and in Kuunsilta the calendar is on the website. The Common Room of Pilvilinna 9L is reserved for ladies' gym on Sunday afternoons, before the free joggers' sauna.
The locker contains more gym equipment, eg. hand weights and exercise mats. It is not allowed to take the indoor gym equipment out of the Common Room. The other side of the locker contains items which are allowed to be taken away, eg. outdoor sports equipment and a machine washable party set of dishes.
The Tenants' Committee charges 5 euros registration fee from those who give their contact information to get the code of the locker. After the registration it will cost you nothing to use the items. We will announce here and on our facebook page and on the info board of the Common Room when we know the dates and times when we will be accepting registrations. You can also print a registration contract (pdf, click here) and fill it ready beforehand. All family members can write their names on the same registration contract.

Water, water everywhere
Jouluaattoaamuna havaittiin, että Kuunsillan kerhotilan wc-pöntön tulovesiputkesta valui vettä lattialle. Päivystävä putkimies kävi sulkemassa wc-pöntön vedentulon. Pönttö on siis tilapäisesti pois käytöstä.
Kerhotilan viemärit vetävät kyllä, joten veden kaatamista viemäriin ei tarvitse pelätä. S-rapun saunan pukuhuoneessa on toinen wc, jota saunojat voivat käyttää.
Asukastoimikunta muistuttaa kaikkia asukkaita siitä, että G4S:n päivystysnumero 0204 28 2000 auttaa kaikkina vuorokaudenaikoina, myös jouluna. Jos vesijohto vuotaa niin paljon, että vettä valuu myös viereisen huoneen lattialle, kannattaa soittaa päivystykseen heti. Jos puolestaan vian korjaaminen voi odottaa seuraavaan työpäivään, kannattaa tehdä vikailmoitus.
A leak in the water intake pipe in the toilet of Kuunsilta Common Room was noticed on Christmas Eve morning. Since there was water on the floor, the maintenance man on duty was called to close the water flow of the toilet. The toilet is temporarily out of use.
Luckily, there is nothing blocking the drains in the Common Room, so it's safe to pour water down the drain. There is another toilet in the dressing room of the sauna, which you can use if you are going to sauna.
Tenants' Committee would like to remind all tenants that G4S service number 0204 28 2000 works at all times, even on Christmas. If you spot a problem that must be fixed right away, like water flowing to the floor of the next room too, you should call them immediately. But if you spot a problem that you can deal with until the next working day, make a notice of defects.

Pilvilinnan kierrätyspiste suljettu toistaiseksi
TYS:n eri kohteissa on suljettu kierrätyspisteitä luteiden leviämisen estämiseksi. Myös Pilvilinnassa on tehty muutama ludehavainto, ja siksi 7I-rapun kierrätyspiste on toistaiseksi suljettu.
Luteiden torjunta kotikonstein on vaikeaa. Luteet kestävät -10 C pakkasta. Luteet kuolevat 60 C:n lämpötilassa, mutta väärin tehty ludesauna pahentaa tilannetta: jos luteet pääsevät pudottautumaan kuumilta lauteilta alas lattialle, ne eivät kuole, ja voivat levitä eteenpäin. Tämän vuoksi ludetorjunta TYS:n yleisissä saunoissa on kielletty.
Mitä nopeammin luteet pysäytetään, sitä helpommaksi ja halvemmaksi niiden torjunta tulee. Recycling rooms in many TYS locations have been closed to stop the spreading of bed bugs. Some bed bugs have been spotted in Pilvilinna, too, and that is why the recycling room in 7I is temporarily closed.
It is difficult to get rid of bed bugs on your own. The bugs can survive -10 C temperature. They will die if the temperature is over 60 C, but if you try to kill them in sauna, and do it wrong, it makes things worse: if the bed bugs can drop down on the cool floor, they will not die, and can spread forward. That is why it is not allowed to use the saunas of TYS to control bed bugs.
The sooner we stop the bed bugs, the less trouble they will cause, and the cheaper it will be. If you notice bed bugs in your apartment, make a notice of defects immediately. The professionals will take care of everything then. If you make the notice of defects right away, it will cost you nothing. If you postpone making the notice until there are bed bugs in the whole house, you may have to pay for it.

Parempi kuntosali // Upgrading gym
Asukastoimikunta hankki puoli vuotta sitten Kuunsillan kerhohuoneelle monikäyttöisen kuntosalilaitteen, ja nyt samanlainen laite on saatu myös Pilvilinnan 9L-talon kerhotilaan.
Seuraavaksi aiomme hankkia molempiin kerhotiloihin muita kuntoiluvälineitä, esimerkiksi käsipainosarjan ja jumppamaton. Välineitä varten on tarkoitus hankkia kaappi, jossa on numerokoodilukko. Asukastoimikunta kertoo koodin niille asukkaille, jotka rekisteröityvät kuntosalin käyttäjiksi - eli ilmoittavat yhteystietonsa ja lupaavat pitää välineistä hyvää huolta. Rekisteröityneet käyttäjät pääsevät siis käyttämään kuntoiluvälineitä milloin haluavat, kunhan eivät aiheuta melua hiljaisuuden aikana. Välineitä ei saa viedä pois kerhotilasta.
Jos asukastoimikunta keräisi pienen maksun jokaiselta rekisteröityvältä käyttäjältä, esimerkiksi 5 euroa vuodessa, rahoilla saataisiin enemmän ja monipuolisempia välineitä laitettavaksi kuntosalikaappiin. The Tenants' Committee of Kuunsilta bought the versatile gym machine to the Common Room about six months ago, and now a similar machine has arrived to Pilvilinna 9L, too.
Next, we are going to buy some other sports equipment, for example a set of weights and dumbbells and an exercise mat for both Common Rooms. We plan to buy a cupboard with a number code lock to store the equipment. The Committee will set the code and inform those tenants who sign up as gym users - that means giving your contact information and promising to take good care of the equipment. Those who sign up will have access to the gym any time, just avoid making noise during silence. The equipment must be used in the Common Room, and it will not be allowed to take them home.
If the Committee collected a small amount of money from everyone who signs up, for example 5 euros per year, we could buy more and versatile equipment to the gym cupboard. There is an opinion poll going on in the upper right corner of this page, because we want your opinion: is it worthwhile to buy a gym cupboard, and would you invest 5 euros in better equipment? The Tenants' Committee of Kuunsilta bought the versatile gym machine to the Common Room about six months ago, and now a similar machine has arrived to Pilvilinna 9L, too.
Next, we are going to buy some other sports equipment, for example a set of weights and dumbbells and an exercise mat for both Common Rooms. We plan to buy a cupboard with a number code lock to store the equipment. The Committee will set the code and inform those tenants who sign up as gym users - that means giving your contact information and promising to take good care of the equipment. Those who sign up will have access to the gym any time, just avoid making noise during silence. The equipment must be used in the Common Room, and it will not be allowed to take them home.
If the Committee collected a small amount of money from everyone who signs up, for example 5 euros per year, we could buy more and versatile equipment to the gym cupboard. There is an opinion poll going on in the upper right corner of this page, because we want your opinion: is it worthwhile to buy a gym cupboard, and would you invest 5 euros in better equipment? The Tenants' Committee will have a meeting on Tuesday, December 18 to decide whether we will go shopping for gym tools before New Year or not. All tenants of Kuunsilta and Pilvilinna are welcome to the meeting (starting at 6pm in Pilvilinna 9L).

Eri myyjillä on tarjolla grilliruokaa, thai-lihapullia, focaccia-leipää, muffineja, kuppikakkuja ja kaurasämpylöitä, sekä kahvia ja teetä. Joitakin ruokia voi ostaa myös kotiinvietäväksi. Lämpimästi tervetuloa!
Café Kuunsilta is open in the Common Room of TYS Kuunsilta from 11am to 5pm. It is located in Ritzinkuja 1S, upstairs of the daycare.
There are several producers who sell grilled food, thai-meatballs, focaccia-bread, muffins, cupcakes and sandwiches, plus coffee and tea. Some food is also available for take away. Welcome!
